LADIES TEES DISTANCE: 460 YDS
PAR : 5
SI : 9
WATER:
None
OUT OF BOUNDS :
If you hit it fairly left then you're onto the beach.
BUNKERS :
There's 4 here. One on the right hand side of the fairway just in the landing area this will stop you from making much headway if you end up in here so keep well clear. There's 3 nice and inviting sand traps up around the green. The first one is just before the green on the right hand side then front left and back right. These make the entrance to the green extremely tight.
TREES :
None
TEE SHOT:
If you're driving from the back tees get out your binoculars to have a look at where to aim for. From the tees that us mere mortals play from you've got a bit of a better view. The fairway is relatively wide and as long as you keep it as close to the middle as you can. If you go too far left you're on the beach, too far right and you may catch the bunker or if you go further right again you could end up in some very hairy rough altogether.
APPROACH SHOT:
Depending on what you've packed in your rifle you can try to take the green on in two or lay up and go for it from much closer. If you have the guns to go for it in two then watch out for the bunkers at the front of the green. If you try to run it onto the green with a wood then keep an eye on the bunkers. You will will need the precision of a cardiac surgeon to slice through these. If you lay up then you should be able to take it in high enough to hopefully take these out of commision. It's a tricky green to approach.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
To make this hole even nicer, the green is severely contoured. As you're looking at the green from the front there's a low level then it wings uphill left and right then dips again then raises to the top tier. Another green with no easy putt.
OVERALL TIPS :
Keep the drive sensible here but try to get it as long as possible to give yourself some options. If you try to keep the tee shot slightly on the right hand side of the fairway and as long as you can it may open up the green for the second if you choose to go for it. The percentage play here is to lay it up short and then pitch over the bunkers and onto the green. Try to get it as close as possible to the pin as the putts here are very tricky. If you are on in two there's a possibility of an eagle but take a par with two hands.
