HOLE BY HOLE GUIDE
HOLE 14
BACK TEES DISTANCE : 409 YDS
CLUB TEES DISTANCE : 382 YDS
LADIES TEES DISTANCE : 372 YDS
PAR : 4
SI : 3
WATER:
None
OUT OF BOUNDS :
If you go too far over the top and too long over the green then you will be looking at either a back garden or the main road to play from.
BUNKERS :
From the tee the only one you have to worry about is the 16th that shouldn't come into play really. Unless you're really poor. That's the only one you will have to worry about. It's the uphill climb that's the danger here.
TREES :
There's a nice line of trees all the way up the left with another line up the right from about midway up the fairway but it is relatively sparse. The trees seem to tighten up the fairway quite a bit.
TEE SHOT:
It's a tricky one as you need to get a bit as tge fairway snakes uphill from right to left slightly and the drive is narrowed by the tight lines taken by the trees. Try not to get it caught behind the trees and if you are going wayward blast it miles but make sure to warn others of your aggression. You need to get it as long as you can because the second shot is a monster if you can't get enough juice on the drive.
APPROACH SHOT:
It's all the way uphill so you need as much distance from the tee shot as possible. There's a slight camber coming in from the right and the green is set in a slight valley on the top of the hill so keep an eye on the flag for an indication of where the pin position is.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
It's slightly uphill for the most of the green but the front portion is relatively steep. Watch out for the front fringe because if you come up short or spin back too much then you could end up at the foot of a huge hill.
OVERALL TIPS :
You need distance in this hole as it steeply uphill all the way. You need to blast your drive as far as possible and obviously try your best to come at the green with as lofted a club as you can. If you can find the green in 2 well done, if now try to aim a bit right into the rought where it will more than likely catch up otherwise if it runs up close and doesn't make it it could be on it's way back down again. Once you are on the green with the exception of putting downhill if the hole is near the front it shouldn't be too much of a problem regarding shocking breaks but will test you none the less. If you can walk out with a par here then you will be very happy.
