WATER:
There's a narrow ditch that goes all the way up the left hand side. There's a little stream in there so steer well clear.
OUT OF BOUNDS :
Just over the ditch on the left is the divide between the end of the golf course and out of bounds into a neighbouring farmer's field. It's best advised to keep it right. Also there's out of bounds if you go well over the top at the back of the green. You'll notice the houses that won't appreciate you playing sand wedges from their gardens so out there is out of bounds also.

TEE SHOT :
Distance is key here. It's a tight enough drive with a high chance that you will be playing into a stiff breeze so you need to keep the ball relatively low and get it speeding through the air. If you go far right make sure you give a good roar to the groups on the previous fairway as the holes run parallel and although it will give you a good get out option you may run the risk of hitting someone so try not to go down that route. Keep it low and very hard and you'll be in a good position on this hole.
2nd SHOT :
You will need to have hit a top class shot to be within range of reaching the green so you may be left with an option just to lay up. Even in laying up the mere mortals amongst us may still need to give a long club a whack to their full capacity in order to leave a decent shot to the green for 3. You are better off not worrying about the green from here but just leave yourself a nice shot for the 3rd.
APPROACH SHOT:
The green is narrow enough as you are looking at it from the fairway so you may be better trying to chase the ball onto the putting surface rather than letting it up high as the wind could take any control of a high shot away from you. The green is open at the front so it is receptive to a chasing shot and it does sit slightly raised a bit of pace will be taken off the ball as you get to the short stuff. A good shot will be rewarded here.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
The green is surrounded by slightly raised banks in a horshoe manner. These raised areas affect the green as there's usually a slope coming off them. It's nothing too major but it would be worth giving the breaks on your putts the extra few glances before you line up even from a very short distance.
OVERALL TIPS :
Standing on the tee you could be forgiven for thinking you were on for another high score especially if the wind was in your face. But if you play this nice and sensibly and with a bit of power you should be in with a good chance here. 2 long cracks with your first few shots will give you a great chance of getting close on the third. Don't get put off by what your mind will think will be an impossible task. Concentrate for the first two shots and get as much as you can. Once you have that looked after the hole becomes much more manageable and becomes a birdie opportunity. If you stray anywhere then it can get complicated or if you try to bite off more than you can chew. As with most holes here, sensible play is rewarded but the left hand side here is a no go area. Don't tempt fate here and play it relatively safe and remember it's all about concentration here. The hole is more a par 4 1/2 rather than a full par 5 so you can pick up a birdie if you get the distance. Anything left is gone.
