BUNKERS :
There's 3 nasty little bunkers placed here. They really come into play when your trying to get on the green in one here. There's one large one about 40 yards from the green just to the left then there's 2 greenside bunkers at the front. One small one to the left and a second larger one that will eat up your golf balls all day.
TREES :
You don't have to worry about the trees between the tee and the first bunker but then they really come into play surrounding the green on all sides.
TEE SHOT :
You've a tricky choice. Like a few earlier holes it's a choice of going for the green in one or laying up. If you lay up you aim left to the plateau over the first bunker. It should be easy to find. If you go for it in one the hazards await. The green is about 210-230 yds away from the pins but in between the two extremeties are bunkers, rough and large swailes. This is no easy drive and should you go over the top there's a large drop-off at the back of the green where you will be heading straight to the trees.
APPROACH SHOT :
Assuming you take the easy route and lay up to the left. It's a relatively straight forward pitch to the green. If you're coming from the left it's a nice uphill approach with a great view of the green and plenty to work with. You should get the ball close from here.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
As you are looking at it from the lay up area on the left it's straight uphill. Around the fringes the green swells up a bit so watch out if your flirting with those as it will affect your putt.
OVERALL TIPS :
Be very careful with this drive. If you have the distance then by all means have a pop at the green but if you don't then lay up. It's like a long par 3 with a very small green which doesn't make the tee shot nice. Should you feel like you don't want to take the green on then aim it out left to the fairway. It's easy to hit and should be the way anyone can take this on with. It's an easy chip onto the green after this and it depends then on your short game to see if you can get close. A birdie's on the cards here.
