HOLE 15
BACK TEES DISTANCE : 299 YDS
CLUB TEES DISTANCE: 293 YDS
LADIES TEES DISTANCE: 245 YDS
PAR : 4
SI : 15
WATER:
None
OUT OF BOUNDS :
If you fire it hopelessly left you will be on the main road so try not aim near those trees unless you fancy ending up stopping the traffic to play your second.
BUNKERS :
There are none on the fairway but as you approach the green there are two that really come into play on the right hand side of the green. Couple that with another 2 directly opposite on the left hand side you can safely say that this green is well guarded.
TREES :
There are a few that you had faced before on the 14th that are guarding the right side of the fairway but they aren't too thick but on the left it's pretty dense with trees all the way down the side. I suppose it's to guard the motorists from hackers like me as wayward shots would have normally travelled towards the road.
TEE SHOT :
This is a tester. It's one that may be worth a gamble if you can get the yardage but with pretty much clear ground on the right you can have a whack. If you come up short and left as long as you aren't too far into the trees you should be in a decent position as anywhere else and you will be sliding down to the right and downhill leaving you with a tricky uphill shot to the green.
APPROACH SHOT :
This depends on where you are coming at the green from. If you are coming from slightly left of the green you should be close to pin high so you can judge it for yourself and avoid the bunkers but if you've ended up tearing down the right then you may have a tricky uphill pitch to contend with a few nasty bunkers in the way. As long as you stay out of the sand on the right side of the green you should be ok.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
It's not too bad. There's a relatively steep slope uphill from the front but it evens out with only the smallest of uphill inclines all the way then. The green does slope off the side by the bunker and it takes slopes off the mound cutting in at the left. All in all though, it's not too bad. A bit narrow to find from out far but once you're on then it's not bad.
OVERALL TIPS :
Play this whatever way you want and whatever your abilities will allow. The sensible option would be to try to hit a nice shot to the left hand side of the fairway that will allow you a decent view to the green. If you go with the safer route to the middle of the fairway it should kick right and you will be playing from the valley but with a fairly lofted club so play to your strengths. The bunkers on the left hand side of the green are shallow enough and should be ok to escape from but from the right you are looking at some seriously difficult bunkers to escape from as they are cut right into the base of the green. Once you are on the green then you should have a chance to get something out of the putt. A birdie is possible here. You should be looking for a par though.
