HOLE BY HOLE GUIDE
HOLE 1
BACK TEES DISTANCE : 315 YDS
CLUB TEES DISTANCE : 309 YDS
LADIES TEES DISTANCE : 305 YDS
PAR : 4
SI : 8
WATER :
None
OUT OF BOUNDS :
If you go too far left you will end up asking a few house owners if they wouldn't mind if you played the second from their back garden so keep out.
BUNKERS :
There's two greenside bunkers. They tighten up the approach to the green considerably as the bunkers are front left and right of the green.
TREES :
All the way up the left and right. Like most parkland courses you get to know the hazards you will face straight away.
TEE SHOT :
This isn't the worst drive in the world. Without some fairway bunkers the room to aim for here is relatively wide. The rough is hindering but not long enough to kill your round. The main hazards you have to look out for here are the trees left and right. There should be enough room to drill it through though.
APPROACH SHOT :
Depending on the distance you've made off of the tee you could be in for a decent shot for the 2nd. The bunkers come into play big time here so watch out for them. That's really what you have to watch out of unless you go completely pearshaped and crack it into the trees.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
There's a slope from the front to the back which levels off in the middle to a certain degree and then slopes upwards again towards the back of the green.
OVERALL TIPS :
Try to keep the tee shot long. If you have to aim anywhere aim slightly left as the fairway slightly snakes a bit to the left. The hole's mostly uphill so try to blast it high. You should get into a decent enough shape for the second and as long as you keep it out of the trees you should have a shot. Watch out for the bunkers here. They will be tricky if you land in them. You can take it in high and the ball shouldn't run off the green as the green slopes uphill. Once on the green make sure to play it safe. It's not the worst hole in the world as long as you don't go too far offline and you stay out of the sand. Take a par for a great start to the round.
