HOLE BY HOLE GUIDE
HOLE 5
BACK TEES DISTANCE : 339 YDS
CLUB TEES DISTANCE : 331 YDS
LADIES TEES DISTANCE : 324 YDS
PAR : 4
SI : 6
WATER :
None
OUT OF BOUNDS :
If you go completely hairbrained over the top or miles to the left you will be playing from somewhere other than the golf course.
BUNKERS :
There's two bunkers on the right hand side of the fairway for those who get distracted by the rock on the left. There's another one on the right hand side of green that will cause some serious trouble if you land in it.
TREES :
There's trees all the way up the right of the fairway. Then as you head for the green there's a horseshoe of trees surrounding the green.
TEE SHOT :
Try to aim it as close to the rock as you can. You should be able to get it past it but keep away from the bunkers on the right hand side as they are in the driving zone.
APPROACH SHOT :
Assuming that you've hit a nice shot well left of the bunkers you should still have a semi blind shot and one that is very tricky due to the bunker on the right and the steep drop off with trees at the back so if you're going to miss it keep it short.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
It's a green that blisters slightly in the middle as it slopes off on most sides with a severe drop off at the back and back left.
OVERALL TIPS :
It's a tight enough tee shot when you take the rock into account. There should be plenty room to the left if you go wrong when trying to fly it so it's worth taking on. The dangers here are on the right hand side. The trees are thick enough that if you end up behind them you will be in trouble and also you've got 2 deep enough bunkers on the right hand side so keep it left if you can. When approaching the green with your approach be very wary of the steep drop off at the back and the trouble on the right. This is a very tricky hole that's emphasis on precision out weighs it's lack of distance. Play it sensibly and a par is a possibility. Lose the run of yourself and you'll have writer's cramp trying to scribble down your score.
