WATER:
The pond at the bottom of the hill catches your eye as you set up. Certainly when the wind is into the face the low cutter is out of the question. It's nicely positioned and although it shouldn't gobble too many up it does play on your mind.

TEE SHOT :
You need to be aggressive here because distance is key on this hole. If you dont give this a good crack you can forget about hitting the green in two thus making it extremely tricky to make par. Anything towards the bottom of the hill or even the bottom half and you might as well call it a par 5. If the wind is into your face you are going to find this hole a bit of a chore.
APPROACH SHOT :
This really does depend on where you are on the fairway. Chances are here that you will have a blind second shot so it would be worth having a good look at the positioning of the green when you are up on the tee box and then pick a spot from the fairway. After that you are hoping for the best. If you are against the wind here you will find it tough to get it up to the hole in two but you'll definitly need at least a hybrid.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
This is another nice flat green without major complications. If you can get up to the green in some decent shape you won't be faced with a green that will cause nightmares so like most here it rewards a good putt.
OVERALL TIPS :
Just when you thought that this course might be manageable out pops this nasty hole. If the prevailing south westerly breeze is blowing then you will be looking straight into the wind. Then you are hoping for a bit of a lull because even on a calm day inland you will get gale force gusts out here so you could end up playing your next shot from behind you here. The key to this hole is damage limitation. Unless you are ready to hit the tour you will not be birdieing this hole and a par would be certainly well earned so just try to hit it and hope for the best until you are in range and then use your instincts. Then you've just got to chalk the score down and move on. It really is a tough hole. If you haven't the luxury of renting out the buggy then you'll be fit after this hill. It's a steep climb so not only will it test your swing, your heartbeat might need a bit of regulating once you get over the crest. Try to have a quick swig of water once you've finished here and if you've a bit of grub with you then eat it here or else the energy might start to disappear and your round with it. Don't get greedy here and move onto the next that you won't have to go through this hole again in the round.
