TEE SHOT:
You could be forgiven for wondering if you've stepped on a tee box that was set up by a drunk that wandered onto the course with a couple of coloured stakes that he robbed from the course in his heavily lubricated state, but no, you're in the right place. Have a close look in front of you. Well, you won't be able to see the green anyway but use the steps to tee box on your right as a guide. The dune that you see ahead and to the left of the steps is where you're aiming for. It's a real shot in the dark here, well apart from the sun being out and all that but you know what I mean. The green is just at the foot of the far side of that dune. It's between the foremost dune and the dune behind it. You really have to take a look at a few of the pictures on the right hand side (click on them for a larger view). The green itself is like a frankfurter stuck between 2 high buns. Ideally the route here is to blast it nice and high into the air and hope that the ball plummets straight down from the stars. Of you don't fancy the skyscraper route aim to either side if the dune and this will leave you a pitch to the green.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
You would be forgiven for thinking that the hard work was done once you've reached the green but remember, this is a links course, don't be naieve enough to think that any shot is easy. As you look at it from the top of the dune, the left hand side slopes downhill to the edge, the centre of the green blisters leaving a slope on all sides. Just below the first dune there's a slight dip. If you miss the green to the left there's a large basin in the rough so watch out for that.
OVERALL TIPS :
Aim for the sky, hit it high and bring it straight down from the clouds. That's the plan anyway. Don't worry about pin position here, you won't see it and it's the least of your worries. I suppose there are 2 alternative but far riskier shots to try out here. You can try to aim for the top of the dune and try to blast it hoping to catch the top of it and that will take enough of the pace of it to make sure that it rolls down the far side and straight onto the green. You could also try to fly the front dune and try to use the back dune as a spongy wall and use incredible back spin to bring it back down the hill. Best of luck Messrs Copperfield and Blaine. If you don't fancy going for the green take it out right or left but to be honest you'll probably be left with the same kind of shot if you go over the dunes anyway so it's best to have a pop at it.
