WATER :
Water comes into play around the green to the right hand side as you play your approach. Also if your extremely wayward from the approach the pond in front of the 7th tee can take any seriously sliced ball.
OUT OF BOUNDS :
None
BUNKERS :
There's a few fairway bunkers that are there to trap the tee shots. If you go to cut the corner and don't hit it well then you may catch the right hand fairway bunker. If you overcook the percentage shot the right hand side is waiting. There's a greenside bunker in the front left that will only pick up a shot that people will be afraid of finding the drink on the right.
TREES :
All the way up the left. There's a bit of a clearing around the green and on the right of the fairway across from the 8th green and pond. Also there's a clearance on the right hand side of the green with the pond the main hazard there but trees are evident at the back of the green.
TEE SHOT :
Best advice here is to keep left. If you can try to aim just right of the bunkers and try to fade it around the corner, or if like me you have a massive natural fade (chronic slice), aim for the clubhouse and hope for the best. For the big and straight hitters go for the right hand bunker and try to carry it into the centre of the fairway.
APPROACH SHOT :
If you've got a booming drive then you could possibly hit the green in two here. The sensible option is to lay it up over the road or if you know the yardage you want you can lay it up before the road. Be very careful with stray shots as the water will gobble up any daredevils who go a bit right. Stray left and you may be making sand castles. The green is relatively open enough.
GREEN OVERVIEW :
There's a noticable dip about 10 yards onto the green which gives it a lower bottom tier and high top tear. Again there's a bit of a top left to bottom right bias similar to previous holes where the shot to leave you an uphill putt would be one to the front. Generally this is a tricky green and a two putt is gratefully taken here.
OVERALL TIPS :
Don't be too cavalier here. Keep it straight and play the percentages. If your lucky enough not to find trouble and get a decent shot into the green a birdie is on but although the green is in range for the second shot if good yardage is driven don't be greedy with the second as the ball could find a watery grave.
